I am so glad that Huxley is in a new home that is suited to care for him. They never should have adopted him and I think that is the source of all the criticism. I hope he can recover from all the trauma he had had in his short life.

As open minded and nonjudgmental as I’m trying to be towards the Stauffers, I can’t help but think “what if it was your BIOLOGICAL child who had all of these special needs?? Would you still give him up??” They never looked at Huxtable (sp?) as their own child. It’s pretty evident he was adopted for views and likes. I’m sorry, we obviously don’t know the entire story but I can’t help but think, what if he actually came out of you and suffered from the same disabilities... would you still have given him up?? 🤔 😒😔 That poor baby 😔 I hope he’s doing alright

I mean I would prefer for him to be out of a family like that because obviously it’s not suitable for him to grown up in (the same with her biological kids.. she sounds too unstable to be caring for anyone) but again, she seriously shouldn’t be taking in children when she obviously can barely care for herself. Children with special needs are so much fun and exciting than “normal” kids, I swear. They are EXTRAORDINARY. I grew up around them. My dad owned an at home group home for adults with special needs and they lived with us. They’re literally like family. My mom worked at a daycare for adults with special needs. My dad has since passed, and my mom lost her job because covid, but she works as a teacher for special needs kids still because she loves working with special needs people so much. I do too. You don’t give up on people like that. You don’t promise a future or give false hope for something so serious and literally so promising. My heart breaks for him.

I’m a child with issues, it’s not autism but I have issues that cause me to struggle with my learning such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and abnormalities of the occipital lobe but despite all my issues my mother still cared and loved me as whether your adopted or biologically the parent you should care for your child no matter what as you chose to have a child and now your job is to raise them. I’m my mothers biological child but still despite my issues that probably made things harder for her she still cared and looked after me. I’m 20 now and turning 21 in May. In school I had a friend who had severe autism and did things he shouldn’t have as he didn’t understand but no matter what his mother and me always supported him. He currently suffers with depression due to the harsh words he’s called daily.. 😔 No matter what issues a child has whether they suffer physically, mentally.. They deserve non-stop support. I’m glad their ‘son’ went to a better home so that he will be loved and supported and be a part of a true supportive family. ❤️ I hope the boy is doing well wherever he is.

Do you people realize how much it costs to adopt a baby from China? You have no idea. My sister adopted 2 children from China. It is very expensive. My sisters youngest daughter has a lot of special needs as well as being deaf and almost blind in one eye. We won’t even tell you the condition my niece was in from the orphanage. She had night terrors for years. There is so much more. My sister is an amazing Mom. It also wasn’t fair to her older daughter. You’d have to have lived this to understand. Also for a baby she was very strong. I was trying to hold her on my lap and she pinched me so hard it about brought tears to my eyes. I’ll not go into all my sister and her family went through. She is a very intelligent child. They still have issues with her but not as much. Just try to be nice to these parents.

I don't honestly know why someone would adopt a child especially a special need child that can have their own children ' i was blessed with a grandson who i help raise with my son who is a single Parent since the day we brought him home from hospital after he was born 💙 🙏 my lil man was recently diagnosed with autism i wouldn't trade him for the world he's 3 years old I'm looking forward to learning all I can with him as we qualify for all services

When I knew her she was better than this ( at least appeared so).. I'm especially disturbed by the "drives my husband bonkers" part in reference to the poor kid "watching them eat".. you coward. How was she able to adopt btw? A Go fund me for adoption? That should have been a red flag. I thought you can’t adopt if you don’t have enough money. You should be able to provide for the child. This makes me sad.

What she did wasn’t okay, I just wish people would give their family some grace. Child development is huge and if she said he had RAD and anger problems, what if he was hurting himself and the other children? What if he stayed and ended up injuring himself or another child to a horrible point?? Then what would people say. Children who are a danger get removed from homes constantly. We never know what they experienced.

Does anyone know of a very cute child I can adopt with special needs but then we could magically cure him of those special needs and he'll become the perfect exotic accessory for us to look like heros? If an adopted child is a threat to your other children, then the right decision is to adopt them out. No ifs or buts, you protect your children. That’s litterally the ONLY excuse I can think of when it comes to adopting out a child you adopted

I only disagree with one thing you bring. You repeatedly bring up when she said they didnt disclose his condition and said he had a tumor. But theres a video towards the beginning of his adoption where she said she knew about his condition, that they had a doctor that said it was worse then thiught. But she repeatedly said she didnt care. He was her son and she was never going to give him up.

No doctors would tell any mother not even a adopted child to give there child to anyone they might recommend counselling for help in understanding. By the all the money you made right from the beginning they made money from that poor child, so that money would have covered any dr hospital treatment so when are you putting it in trust for the boy?

I'm thinking of what her biological children think of their mother. They legit watched their parents return a child in front of them; how do you think that effects the kids? My second concern about Myka is that she asaulted (allegedly) a pregnant nurse. My family has a lot of people who work in healthcare and the threat of being abused and physically assaulted by their patients is very high. But, being assaulted by a colleague isn't high. And it's scary to know that if Myka ever came into my family members workplaces, that they are at a risk of being injured. As we all know in this current climate; healthcare workers and other frontline workers are under so much stress. They do everything to keep the public safe and do not need to worry about abuse and assaults from both Patients and colleagues.

So sad , I am from China , In China, the rules for adoption are very strict. one of rules is , people are not allowed to adopt any child unless the family can't have their own child. and once you are qualified, the adoption doesn't cost your a lot of money. In the same time, Recently there are many foster or agencies doing adoption business with foreigners. Yes, I called that business because they open the opportunities with foreigners only, why ? and they are charging them with a lot of money. sadly , lots of them are not qualified. How come a family with 3 children already was qualified to adopt a 4-year-old disabled child ? Think about it ! Stop doing business with those adoption agencies anymore, if those children stay in China and follow those normal adoption process , they will have a better place to go.

Part of me is glad that he is not with that family anymore. I know we all wish they never did adopt him and it was all wrong and disgusting motives, But it already happened and I think these parents don’t deserve any of their children. Also, sounds kind of suspicious the story about the “wasted narcotic”. So, Myka had a pill that supposedly has to be thrown away, can’t show any proof of it and demands someone sign off on it while having the audacity to get mad when the other nurse won’t. Sounds like a problem to me.

The doctors told us it wasn't a right fit and we had NEVER been told that before, we were told dozens of times in the beginning we shouldn't adopt him and this was going to be to much to handle but we were NEVER warned about this so we abandoned him...

I saw a doctor saying that the most likely reason to this is that Myka is a narcissist. She got the boy to seem like a good person and would get positive attention from saving this boy. When the boy didn't bond with her but he did bond with the rest of the family her narcissistic supply wasn't filled, so in order to have her need to be the center of attention and getting all of the attention from the family the little boy had to go.
